Having GOD in ones' life

¨ This is central to all our well being. Now I know a few of you will say “but I don’t believe in God”

(then stop reading these pearls of wisdom and exit the site-as we all have free will) be that as it

may, each and everyone of us has a core/inner feeling/knowing that there is someone bigger than

just ourselves. Why? Because He made us that way. Whether we believe in Him or not, does not

change the fact that He is real and He is there in our lives. Most of us have to switch on the secret

button that’s inside of us. Some of us have had the button switched on from young, others from 30+

and others have had tolearn the hard way by taking a good few years to switch on that button. So

this is for the Grannys/Nanas/ Oumies/Grandmothers who are switched on to God

So by the time we reach our 50s & 60s etc most of us are pretty switched on to God.

¨ That being the case we now proceed to introduce Him to our

children (hopefully while they were young) and then our grand children.

Much easier to do with grandchildren as we’ve all had a bit of practice the first time round with

our own children. As with anything to be learned one has to teach by

example. Its no good my teaching the grand kids about God and I’m not

practicing what He has told us (in His Word, the Bible).
¨ So what exactly should we be teaching them??? Well we all want them to become young adults of

integrity, honesty, good moral values and principles. And this starts from young and holding them

accountable for what they do. Yes it is wrong to take something that belongs to others. Someone

left that R5 coin on the table-leave it alone!,-someone put it there, it belongs to someone!- so just

leave it alone! ok? These are the kinds of things we need to teach the young ones - who are

tomorrows future leaders. Whether they will be leaders of a band, of just leading their class mates,

let them be leaders of integrity!
